Description:
THIS… is a custom 1940 Ford Deluxe Business Coupe, finished in a two-tone Sunburnt Orange and black exterior with flame accents over a two-tone gray interior.
This Ford is a restored hot rod, with the build completed around 2005. The seller reports receipts documenting numerous upgrades, including suspension and drivetrain improvements. The result is a well-sorted custom that both presents strongly and drives well.
Power comes from a Chevrolet 350ci V8, paired with a rebuilt Turbo-Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. Engine equipment includes triple Rochester carburetors, headers, camel hump cylinder heads, a Mallory electronic distributor, a custom brass radiator, and an MSD ignition coil.
The interior is finished in two-tone gray velour, including the seating surfaces, rear upholstery, and headliner. A black dashboard houses a custom billet aluminum gauge cluster with VDO gauges, along with the original steering wheel and a Sun tachometer. Additional interior features include a kill switch and a custom pull-start ignition.
Exterior features include original-style running boards, dual exhaust, and the iconic split rear window. The car rides on polished American Racing five-spoke wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires, measuring 195/60R15 up front and 235/70R15 in the rear. Braking is handled by front disc brakes with rear drums.
