Description:
THIS… is a 1932 Ford Custom Roadster, a professionally built high-performance hot rod finished in orange over a tan interior.
The build begins with custom 1932 Ford frame rails, fitted with a TCI four-bar dropped tube axle up front and a Currie 9-inch Ford rear axle with 3.00:1 gearing and custom 31-spline axles. Braking is handled by power front disc brakes with rear drums.
Power comes from a massive 572ci Chevrolet big-block V8 from GM Performance, producing 620 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque. The engine is topped with a Demon carburetor and paired with a professionally built Turbo 400 automatic transmission featuring a 2000-rpm stall converter and heavy-duty shift kit.
Cooling is handled by a custom AFCO aluminum heavy-duty radiator, while Sanderson headers and side pipes provide an unmistakable exhaust note. The chassis is body-color painted and supports a fiberglass Hi-Boy Roadster body by Show Me Rod & Custom, finished in DuPont orange basecoat/clearcoat paint and polished to a show-quality finish.
The roadster rides on polished American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels, measuring 15×6-inch front and 15×10-inch rear, wrapped in Hoosier Pro Street tires. A purple cloth “Bop Top” convertible top completes the exterior presentation.
Inside, the cabin features tan leather bench seating, Stewart-Warner white-face gauges housed in a billet aluminum panel, a polished Ididit tilt steering column, Lokar floor shifter, and a custom JVC/Cadence sound system.
Overall, this 1932 Ford Custom Roadster is an exceptionally well-executed build that combines extreme big-block performance with show-quality craftsmanship, resulting in a striking, high-powered street rod ready to be driven and enjoyed.
